Day

Arrive at the airport of Beijing. Your private guide of Easy Tour China will greet you at the exit of Arrival Hall & transferred to your hotel in downtown Beijing. Free for the rest of the day. Alternatively explore China's royal capital on your own. 

Full day trip in Beijing today. Your first stop is the Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in the world, where solemn ceremonies of raising/lowering the national flag in every morning or sunset time are held here. Then go to the Forbidden City. Standing in the center of Beijing, it is protected by high walls and a moat on all four sides and consists of dozens of halls and courtyards. Admire one of world's most legendary ancient royal palaces and the treasures kept on display. At last, pay a visit to Temple of Heaven, a masterpiece of architecture and landscape design where the ancient emperors used to pray for the God's bless of the whole nation. Today, there are many public activities and performances are held in the park.

OPTIONAL NIGHT SHOW

  • Beijing Kung Fu Show: A rare chance to watch the real Shaolin Kung Fu. The performers are the best and have mastered the difficult moves. 
  • Beijing Opera Show: It is one of the most famous traditional Chinese opera. The artists wear heavy make-up and act out the legends and romance with their unique style of singing and dance.

Private excursion to the Great Wall at Mutianyu today. The Great Wall is one of the great wonders in the world and the symbol of China. Mutianyu is 70km from city center and it takes around 1.5hrs from your hotel. This section of the Great Wall was built in Ming Dynasty was used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. You will take around 2-3 hours to walk on the 2.5km walls and 23 towers. Transfer back to Beijing city, meander down to the nearby hutongs. Hutongs are unique street design in Beijing and regarded as a window into Beijing folk life.

  • Round-trip cable car ride is included at the Great Wall. If you would like to descend by toboggan, please tell your tour guide in advance.

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel, then drive to visit the Summer Palace, Qing’s Imperial rulers’ favorite summer residence. UNESCO inscribed Summer Palace a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1998. A dragon boat ride is recommended if the weather is good. Have lunch at local restaurant and then take afternoon high speed train from Beijing to Xi'an. The train from Beijing to Xian takes 4.5hrs - 5.5hrs with highest speed at 300kmh (186mph). Arrive in Xian. Be met & transferred to your hotel.

Visit the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum in the morning, which is one of the most important archaeological finds in the 20th century, and a UNESCO World Heritage. Drive back to downtown area and visit the Wild Goose Pagoda, it was first built in Tang Dynasty for the storage of Buddhist scriptures taken from India by Monk Xuanzang and now becomes the city emblem. Then have a stroll at Muslim Quarters, where you can view Bell Tower and Drum Tower, the symbol of Xi'an and of significant importance in Xian history.

  • Tang Dynasty Singing and Dancing Show - A wonderful performance of the ancient music and dance. This is also a good way know more about the ancient Tang dynasty and some more history and art of that period.

Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum

In the morning, visit to the Ancient City Wall of Xian, the best-kept and biggest city walls in China. You may have a bike trip on the city walls (optional and on your own expense) and experience the old and modern Xian. Take flight to Shanghai. Be met and transfer to your hotel. The rest of time today is your own arrangement to explore the vitality and vibrancy of Shanghai.

Shanghai highlight city trip -- Firstly, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the best viewing spot of Shanghai located by the Huangpu River with the height of 468 meters. Secondly, Yu Garden, with 400 years' history, this private garden features traditional architectural style of Yangtze Delta. Thirdly, the Bund and Nanjing Road: The Bund is the famous waterfront to see new-erect modern skyscrapers and aged buildings of the colonial period. Then Nanjing Road is the busiest shopping street in Shanghai. Lastly, the former French Concession, a pedestrian street composed of traditional street format of Shanghai Shikumen and modern development.

  • The Acrobatics Show at night- It is not to be missed in Shanghai. Acrobatics is one of the oldest performing arts in China. Here you will see the amazing feats of balance and skill.
